The charity is committed to ‘improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people.’
The commitment and passion to support this charity is driven by our employees. It was their vote after all that secured this partnership.
More than 850,000 children and young people in the UK are diagnosed with a mental health condition, a very real problem for young people who represent our future generation, in jobs and skills, in the economy and in the community. YoungMinds is focused, informed and uniquely qualified at serving the needs of children and young people with mental health issues.
Our two year agreement is packed with creative ideas for events, promotions and mentoring workshops. Not only will we be raising money through employee fundraising and company donations, we’ll also be getting involved with volunteering from Morgan Hunt staff. We have a full range of projects planned and we’re all very excited about working with our charity partner for the next two years ahead. We will keep you posted all the way through on our blogs and in our news pages, and on our social media channels, so watch this space.
Chris Walker, Director of Fundraising at YoungMinds said “When the call came through to announce Morgan Hunt staff had overwhelmingly voted to support YoungMinds, there were smiles and cheers and bright eyes all around. We’re not a moneyed charity and, because it’s still taboo, it takes a lot of courage for people to stick up for mental health. To see a big company like Morgan Hunt line up on our side is fantastic news every way you look at it.”
Morgan Hunt’s Marketing Director, Lauren McLeod explains “Every part of our organisation contributes to making our charity partnership a success. It’s because of this commitment and passion to giving back that we asked our people to vote for their charity of choice and it’s been their voice and their vote that has secured YoungMinds. And we’re thrilled with their choice.”
